Valentine's is coming!

Well with only 2 1/2 weeks left before Valentine's day I decided to do my favorite themed balloon, the Heart w/ a Bear.

"A" - Alligators all around... "B" - Bursting Balloons

No, this isn't the lyrics to the song, "Chicken Soup with Rice" that was featured on the children's cartoon called Really Rosie.  What this IS, is my version of the balloon Alligator.

 

Me and my Mom decided that the green one looked sort of lucky, so we named him "Lucky".

Caught wearing a balloon hat!

Juliet Dragos posted a pic on her FB sporting a very nice Balloon Sculpture Hat.  For those who are not familiar with her she is a news anchor for one of the local stations here in Grand Rapids.  Its nice to see that everyone loves a balloon even a local celebrity.

Here is my next couple of projects!

Here is a couple of balloon sculptures that I found on GOOGLE IMAGES.  I plan to learn these.  The hamster is pretty easy, but I need to practice my marker scribbling.  The lobster, now that is going to be a challange.  Ok, the next 2 pictures are not balloons I made, but pictures I want my balloons to look like. My balloons will be below a little ways.

Well...my first attempt at the lobster left me with alot of broken balloons.  When at first you don't succeed....pump pump again.

Ok on my 3rd try I got something that I think resembles a lobster.

 

Looks passable eh?  I am gonna work on this some more.

Here is my hamster.  Not as exciting as the lobster.

Sunday was crazy hat day!

Ok, with the winter cold set in at full force I decided to stay inside for most of the day.   The only time I ventured  out was to go to the Party City store and take a look at their balloons.   Bad choice for balloons because they have a limited selection, but the costume gags were pretty enjoyable.  Here are 2 hats that I made today, "The Mickey Mouse Hat" and "The Really Crazy Hat".  The really crazy hat does kind of look like a jester hat, perhaps down the road it will evolve into one.
